New Website

The new website is up and running come visit me over at

www.photographybyjenna.com

Sense I last updated my photography blog/website a lot has changed. Little Noah made his entrance into the world just days after sharing with you Jessa and Levi’s maternity session. This made me a Auntie again and I can honestly say its the most rewarding thing in my life.

In addition to a new nephew and my niece (she’s 8 months already its crazy) I’m finally in the process of designing a website for Photography By Jenna. I feel so honored and privileged to have {in my honest opinion} one of the best web designers doing all the brain work of it. He’s a wonderful friend of mine which makes this business collaboration great because he has no problem telling me when my fabulous ideas are not so fabulous haha. Most of the time he’s right…okay okay so far he’s been right all of the time but thats why he’s the best in my opinion.

All my summer weddings and sessions will make their grand website debut there hopefully in the next few weeks. So stay tuned for a new look, a new logo, and a plethora of beautiful new pictures.

Jessa is due in just 5 weeks. I think I can safely speak for the family that we are in greatly anticipating Noah’s arrival.

Myself and another set of photographers put together a photography fundraiser for our local church to raise money for our building fund. The day started at 9:00 AM and went till 5:00 PM. Each session was a half hour long and alternated between us. I had 7 sessions booked for the day with 1 last minute cancellation. It was an exhausting day but when I sat down to edit and go through all my memory cards it was worth every tired bone.

Right now there are babies every where in my life. My friends are having babies, my co-workers are having babies and my sisters are having babies. My baby sister just had an adorable little girl on February 24, 2010- Savannah Lynn. So precious and perfect in every way. Can you tell she has completly stolen the heart of her aunt. Pictures to come of this amazing new arrival. Right now though we get to experiance the excitement and anticaption of a new life coming all over again. My oldest sister is due in July and we just took her 20 week pictures. The thing that tickles me most about these couple pictures is it took about 5 minutes in my parent’s dining room and an hour working in Photoshop. Ah the magic of technology šŸ™‚

Tim & Becky

After Tim and Becky got back from their honeymoon we went out and took some portraits. Weather was not on our side as it was warm and raining out and a small factor of me (the photographer) getting horribly car sick :-/ but the day was not a complete diaster we did get some beautiful pictures taken before calling it a day.

January 2nd brought the first wedding of the year. It was held at Anchorage Baptist Temple. I’ve known the groom for sometime now and he truly did find himself a bride that perfectly compliments him. It was a beautiful wedding.

I’m rather behind in updating. This was an engagement session I did back in February. I work with Mariecris and knew from the beginning that this was going to be a very fun shoot. The weather was perfect it was lightly snowing with warmer temps and a peak-a-boo sun. These two showed that love conquers even football differences as they sported rival team jerseys. The highlight for me though was when Zach pulled up in a Jeep with a lift on it I could not help but use it as a prop.

I think their engagement pictures will be compliment their July wedding nicely.

A Miracle Baby

I had the blessed opportunity to spend New Years with friends. Bobby and Annette are actually more like an Uncle and Aunt to me. Nothing made me happier though then to cuddle and kiss on their little Braden. He’s true miracle baby as Annette was told she would never be able to have children due to medical reasons. Holding such a precious little one makes you cherish and adore life.

New Trend

There is a new trend out there in photo-editing. Its a texturing edit done to a picture to enhance the mood or the feel. Easy and fun way to take a simple standard picture and make it look like a work of art. Its taking creativity to a whole new level.
